Dispatch Is Coming to Mobile on December 9, With a Free Start and a Big Anniversary Celebration
Dispatch has reached its first birthday in style. AdHoc Studio's debut game turned one on October 22, 2026, and instead of a quiet celebration, the studio announced a package of new content, a mobile release and even a live concert. For players who missed the game the first time around, the anniversary is a convenient second chance to jump in.
The original release arrived on October 22, 2025, to strong reviews. Made by a team that includes former Telltale developers, Dispatch follows Robert on a journey from nobody to hero, surrounded by a chaotic cast of super-powered characters. Its mix of workplace comedy, sharp dialogue and difficult choices helped it earn a glowing 9 out of 10 from IGN, and it has since built a loyal audience eager for more.
The mobile version leads the news
The headline for phone players is simple: Dispatch is coming to mobile. The game will launch on Android and iOS on December 9, 2026, with additional support for Google Play Games on PC. That means the story can move from a desk or console to a commute, a sofa or any spare moment in between.
AdHoc has not simply squeezed the existing game onto a smaller screen. According to IGN's report, the base game has been rebuilt for touch screens and vertical play. That is an important detail for a choice-driven game, because menus, dialogue and decisions all need to feel natural when you are tapping rather than using a controller or mouse.
The pricing is also designed to lower the barrier to entry. Mobile players will be able to try the first four episodes for free, while the full release will cost $19.99. Pre-orders are set to open soon on the Google Play store and the Apple store, so fans can secure their copy ahead of the December launch.
More ways to replay the story
For returning players, the Deluxe Edition adds two modes that change how the game can be experienced. Commentary Mode offers two separate audio tracks, with actors and developers talking about the project while the game plays, in the spirit of a DVD special feature. Each choice can reveal a new insight, which gives completionists another reason to replay.
Storyboard Mode, meanwhile, shows the sketches that were used to plan the game's scenes. It can even be combined with Commentary Mode, letting players see how an idea on paper became a finished sequence. The Deluxe Edition also includes a digital art book and four digital comics, while existing Deluxe owners will receive the new modes for free and standard owners can upgrade for $10.99.
Merch, music and a concert
The anniversary celebration extends beyond the screen. Fans can buy a three-record soundtrack vinyl set featuring artwork from art director Derek Stratton, with 100 copies signed by him. Shirts, hoodies and four physical comics are also available, with each comic cover forming part of a larger battle scene when placed side by side.
There is also a Dispatch: Design Works hardcover book and a collectible box that go behind the scenes with concept art, cast interviews and developer insights. The first 1,000 orders on the official online store will receive a limited-edition, numbered collector's card that has never been seen before.
Perhaps the most unusual part of the celebration is a one-night-only concert on Thursday, December 3, at the AVALON Hollywood. THOT SQUAD, the voice of Prism, will perform songs from the game live alongside Bershy, Primer, Caroline Kingsbury and Fartbarf. The event is in person only and will not be streamed, with email subscribers getting first pick of the extremely limited tickets before they open to the general public.
AdHoc's next project is still eagerly awaited, but this anniversary package shows a studio that understands its audience. Whether you want to replay Dispatch with fresh commentary, try it for free on mobile, collect the art book or hear its music live, there is now a new way into a world that many players already love.
